Not quite as sad as Meccano this.
I own a 1958 Hotchkiss M201 Jeep .
It is ex French army and in original condition with most accessories.
It is a direct and exact descendent of the W.W.II Willys jeep. In fact after the war,
the French army purchased all the manufacturing capability of Willys from USA so that they
could continue using the stocks of jeeps left over from the war. They were able to
refurbish and remanufacture jeeps until the late 60s. Although mine is a Hotchkiss it has
some original W.W.II parts on it.
I have recently bought a machine gun mount for the passenger side and have fitted a .30
cal Browning.
I am a member of the Military Vehicle Trust and take it to shows both here and abroad.
