"A correctly fitting OrthoK lens does not touch the central cornea at any time during the fitting procedure or in normal wear."

The Traditional idea that OrthoK lenses push down on the cornea and flatten it to cause the change is not true; as there is always a tear film between the lens and the eye, it is a much more subtle process.
