Orthokeratology treatment is based on a total fee. It is not dependent upon the number of practice visits or contact lenses used. Appointments will be made as often as necessary to accomplish our definite aims.

The fees include : - Professional Services:

  • Initial fitting and assessment of the Ortho-K process.
  • Contact lens Education.
  • Ortho-K contact lens services for 12 months
  • All visits for Ortho-K related services.
  • All Ortho-K lens assessments, computerized corneal topography and lens design calculations.
  • Management and planning of the Ortho-K process.
  • Inspection and verification of all contact lenses.
  • Orthokeratology designed Contact Lenses and laboratory services.
  • All lenses and lens modifications required for Ortho-K.
  • Initial contact lens case and solutions.

A spare pair of retainer lenses is strongly recommended as these are made in the USA or Australia and may take 1-2 weeks to obtain.

These are charged at a special rate of £320.00 a pair. (Unless unusually designed lenses have been used).

OrthoK Lenses should be changed each year.

NOTE:

1. In the event that a patient discontinues the Ortho-K program for any valid reason, the following policy will apply, provided lenses and materials are returned in original condition and only one pair of lenses has been ordered.

At or before the 4th week, 2nd and subsequent payments not due. I.e. Item 3b

At or before the 8th week, 3rd and subsequent payment not due. I.e. Item 3c

2. If at any time I consider that it is not in your best interests to continue, then I will stop the procedure. All contact lenses must be returned  Successful Ortho-K treatment is usual, but is dependent on each patients visual, physiological and psychological adaptation to contact lenses. Thus we cannot guarantee contact lens success. However, we dedicate our time, experience and professional skills to ensure each patient ongoing quality eye care and support.

3.     Other than final retainer lenses, ALL lenses remain the property of the practice and must be returned to us.

4.    If a change of Ortho-K Contact Lens is needed, you must return the old lens when collecting the new one.

5.    Lost or damaged lenses will be charged at half price during the initial period, i.e. from  £80.00 each.
